Mission Statement
Barbers4Change emerged from a deep conviction that Barbers can be a powerful community transformation. We envisioned a space where Barbers are not just grooming hair, but also fostering positive change through honesty, respect, empathy and compassion - values we encapsulate in the number 4. This represents our commitment to being pillars of integrity and support in our community.
Honesty
Be truthful with ourselves about the damage we caused and the work we must due to repair it.
Respect
Treating others, and ourselves with dignity no matter what our past looks like.
Empathy
Learning to feel the pain of those affected by violence and congestive; letting the pain drive us to do better.
Compassion
Using our skills and time to heal, rebuild, and to lift others up, rather than tear them down.
About us
Barbers4Change extends beyond prison walls. We believe in giving back through service, making amends by actively participating in community uplifting. This involves educating the youth by inspiring positive change and raising donations to support various organizations throughout California that have been affected by violent crime.
